Rania Ouarou, Benoit Cossette, Marie-Eve Perron, and Catherine Hudon have recently published a scoping review in the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy, focusing on the role of pharmacists in interventions aimed at reducing excessive polypharmacy. The study highlights the importance of pharmacists within a collaborative approach involving patients and interprofessional healthcare teams.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Andréanne Bernier, TUTOR-PHC scholar (2024–2025), for creating two video capsules – available in both French and English – showcasing the vital role of patient partners in the PriCARE project.
These videos feature Ghislaine Rouly, Judy Porter, Jackie Hanson, and Marie-Dominique Poirier, who generously and authentically share their experiences and research engagement. Their contributions beautifully illustrate the richness of collaboration between patient partners and researchers in co-creating knowledge and innovative health solutions.

Catherine Hudon and Donna Rubenstein have published an article in the International Journal for Quality in Health Care exploring the impact of language in healthcare.
They show how terms like “frequent user” can reinforce stigma, while more inclusive language — such as “person with complex needs” — supports a more human, ethical, and compassionate approach to care.
