The article “Reconciling validity and challenges of patient comfort and understanding: Guidelines to patient-oriented questionnaires” is now available on the Health Expectations website. This article is the result of a collaboration between members of the V1SAGES team (Catherine Hudon, Alya Danish, Mireille Lambert, Olivier Dumont-Samson, Véronique Sabourin, Mathieu Bisson and Maud-Christine Chouinard) and colleagues participating with us in the interprovincial PriCARE research project (Dana Howse, Monique Cassidy, Judy Porter, Donna Rubenstein, Shelley Doucet, Vivian R. Ramsden and Charlotte Schwarz).

New research report available!

The report “Advancing Family Medicine During the Pandemic: Phase I of the CO-RIG Program” from the Foundation for the Advancement of Family Medicine is now online!
Over a period of six to ten months, 15 teams of family physicians whose projects were funded by the CO-RIG program implemented and tested innovations that combat problems directly related to the pandemic.
Dr. Catherine Hudon and colleagues’ project entitled “Innovating case management: Telehealth support for patients during COVID 19” involved adapting an existing case management strategy for virtual use to direct patients to important health and support services.

We are proud to announce that the project “Better understanding care transitions for adults with complex health and social care needs: an essential step towards integrated care” that we submitted to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has been accepted!
This project aims to better understand care transitions between community, primary care and hospital for adults with complex health and social care needs.
To this end, our PriCARE team of patients, clinicians, decision-makers and interdisciplinary researchers from Quebec, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador will build on our successful teamwork over the past four years to conduct a study in six hospitals in these three provinces (two hospitals per province).
